Peru
After 22 hours of non-stop travel, I made it to Peru. During the journey when over the border and driving through the night to Arequipa I thought that the mountains would never end. I think that it was about 4 hours of non-stop mountains. It was really beautiful but for a while I was really hoping to see the bright city lights.
I got here at about 9pm after leaving 11pm the night before, to be able to put my head down on a pillow last night was a real blessing. Today I was able to go to Edward my friends church and after they had a fellowship meal. So that was a great opportunity to meet some of the people in the church.
This evening we were supposed to be going to stay a couple of nights at his aunties house, but due to the bus drivers striking in a certain area on our journey we were unable to travel. Hopefully if they decide to drop the strike we will be travelling tomorrow sometime. In my next post I will let you know what we have been up too.
